Prom Closet
The Lydia’s Loft Prom Closet is a self-funded ministry housed in the old education building of the First Baptist Church of Huntersville. It started in 2010 with a vision from the founder Aileen. Since then, hundreds of young ladies and young men have been able to let their outer beauty shine as much as their inner one.
The Prom Closet has given thousands of dresses and suits, touched the lives of countless people, and showed the love of God to everyone who experienced it.
You can help by donating women’s formal dresses, shoes, jewelry and accessories, as well as formal wear for men. You can be fitted for a dress or suit by visiting the Prom Closet on Saturday mornings on the second floor of the old Education Building behind the sanctuary. The Prom Closet will be open on Saturdays in February through May from 9 am – Noon in the Education Building. The Prom Closet will be closed Easter Weekend. The dresses, suits, and accessories are completely free!
If you have a prom dress or suit you would like to donate, you may leave it at Lydia’s Loft, the purple house on Old Statesville Road next to the church.
