Last year, we started a new Small Group Ministry at FBCH – Bridge Groups – designed to lean into the vision of “cultivating community by removing the walls that divide us and building bridges that connect us as one human family, each person created in the image of God.” In particular, Bridge Groups aim at cultivating community across the generations. Built into the Bridge Group schedule are weeks that everyone will come together for fellowship and service.
Each of us must evaluate what we value most, how we use our time, and the role relationships play in making life meaningful. Some of you may be thinking you don’t need “one more thing” on your calendar, but we all know that the “right things” on our calendars are what make for an abundant life. We hope that you’ll choose to add a Bridge Group to your calendar this year. We believe you will be blessed by it and that God will bless someone else through you.
2022 Bridge Groups will begin Sunday September 11. This year we will be “Experiencing God Together,” using the updated version of Experiencing God with Richard and Mike Blackaby, a new take on a classic Bible Study. The new material includes a video portion of the study.
Youth Groups will meet separately from Adult Groups this year on Sunday Afternoons while Children’s Music & Missions Groups are also taking place (Ages 3- Grade 5). Childcare for Children Age 2 and under will be available on Sundays for parents/guardians involved in Bridge Groups. Occasionally everyone will come together for food, fun, fellowship and service activities. Please register all members of your family who will be involved in Sunday Afternoon Activities. Find the Registration Link below.
Please register by September 5, 2022 to ensure we have the appropriate number of group leaders. Sunday Afternoon Bridge Groups & Children’s Groups will meet 4:30-6:00 pm at the church Sept. 11– Nov. 20, 2022. A Wednesday Morning Bridge Group for Adults will take place 10:30 am-12:00 pm Sept. 14— Nov. 16, 2022. We will continue with Part 2 of “Experiencing God” in the Spring of 2023 and those dates will be determined in the coming months. Adult Bridge Group members are invited to purchase a personal “Experiencing God” workbook; your learning will be enhanced by the workbook, but it is not a requirement for participation in Bridge Groups. Here are links to purchase the workbook: from Lifeway or from Amazon.
