| What, When & Where: On Sunday August 6 at 10:30 a.m., First Baptist Church of Huntersville will join with other local churches for “Church in the Park,” a Community Worship Service at Veterans Park (201 Huntersville-Concord Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078).
Why: This outdoor service is an opportunity to worship with other Huntersville congregations and remember that we are one in Christ. Huntersville United Methodist Church, Huntersville Presbyterian Church and Independence Hill Baptist Church will also be participating. This service is a great opportunity to invite neighbors and friends to experience worship in a new way.
More Details: The service will be followed by a fellowship lunch on the lawn. You may bring your own picnic lunch or purchase lunch on site from the Apostle ’Que food truck. Kona Ice will also be present with free snow cones for children (adults may purchase).
We will not have Bible Study or any other activities at FBC-H on Sunday morning August 6.
Everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and meet at Veterans Park for the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service. The service is for all ages (no childcare will be provided). Tents will be set up to provide some shaded areas. Please allow senior adults or those with mobility limitations to park at the American Legion. The rain plan is to meet at Huntersville United Methodist Church.
We’ll also be collecting school supplies for local students; a supply list will be sent out in soon!
