This Christmas Season, as we anticipate the coming of the True King, we invite you to join us in the magical world of Narnia!  The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (of The Chronicles of Narnia novel series) is an allegory of the story of Jesus written by C.S. Lewis to tell the gospel story in such a way that its truths reach ears and hearts in fresh ways.    Pastor Stacy Nowell is leading us through an Advent Sermon Series titled “Through the Wardrobe” now through December 18.  The Sanctuary has been decorated to bring us into the magical world of Narnia.  The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe tells of the land of Narnia, which has been cursed by a witch so that it’s “always winter, and never Christmas.” But when four children find their way in through a magical wardrobe, they and the Narnians are thrilled by the rumor that “Aslan is on the move.” He alone has the power to break the rule of the White Witch, and stories of his return fill them with hope and expectation. It’s a perfect companion to the Advent season and our “thrill of hope” at the return of Jesus.

Join us “in Narnia” for this Advent Sermon Series on Sundays at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary.

Join us on Friday November 2, 6:00 – 7:30 pm for a Narnia-themed Christmas Party based on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe!  The event is geared toward children/families but all ages are invited to come experience the wonder! Come meet characters from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, play games, enjoy snacks and celebrate Jesus!  Please RSVP here: eventbrite.com/e/childrens-christmas-party-the-lion-the-witch-and-the-wardrobe-tickets-470071415257 (Children need to be accompanied by an adult).

We will also Worship on Christmas Day at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary.

“Aslan?” said Mr. Beaver. “Why don’t you know? He’s the King. He’s the Lord of the whole wood … word has reached us that he has come back … He’ll put all to rights as it says in an old rhyme in these parts:
Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”
– The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis
