If you’re 70 ½ years or older, you can direct up to $100,000 per year from your IRA to eligible charities through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD.) The amount you transfer is excluded from your taxable income and counts toward all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD.) Deadline for transfers is December 31st.
